Custom diagnostic kit

LAMP

The COVID-19 pandemic was a great challenge for the society. During this period, BIOBREYER worked in the development of a diagnostic kit for COVID-19, using RT-LAMP technology.

The R&D was developed with support from FINEP (Project Reference nº 0584/20) and clinical trials have proven an efficiency of more than 90% for the diagnosis of COVID-19, compared to the gold standard method (RT-PCR).

Our technology is based on enzymes of our own production and that act in an isothermal manner. After 30 minutes of reaction, the result can be visualized colorimetrically or fluorimetrically. This technology, despite having been developed for the diagnosis of COVID-19, can be adapted for other diseases.

Currently, our LAMP kit is being marketed (BioLAMP) for various applications. We recently signed a partnership to be part of a project financed by FAPESP (Project Reference nº 2021/11968-2), in which we will customize our kits for the diagnosis of zoonoses.
